Mining and crafting
Last week I was away for work so set myself the challenge of playing and building something to show the boys in Minecraft Survival. It was a great experience. I’ve never really played Minecraft before so taking the time to start from scratch was a perfect plane activity. It was also a good test for the mini PC in my life, the Legion Go.
I’m led to believe that Minecraft was far more obtuse when it first came out but I like the quality of life stuff in there. As I chopped things down and picked things up I saw a pop-up telling me about the new recipes it had unlocked. I liked the idea that my little character was having ideas as they found things in the world. I learned to loathe creepers and the constant rebuilding of my first house. I realised that building in the trees wasn’t a good plan and moved to a place where I can see more around me and plan for incoming hostile mobs. In short it was a blast, an ideal plane activity, and if you have people in your life who also play I would recommend playing yourself so you can really understand why they probably love it too.
